The Mermaid’s Mirror: Life Under the Sea Writing Contest

We have an AMAZING prize pack up for grabs this month, courtesy of the talented and always amazing L.K. Madigan — author of October’s Book of the Month, The Mermaid’s Mirror. And since it is such an amazing prize pack, we thought up a contest worthy of the awesome prizes. Keep reading for details:

The Contest

Put on your creative writing hats, and dream up what life would be like under the sea. (Apologies for referencing that catchy Disney tune).

In 250-500 words, tell us a short story about being a mermaid or merman living under the sea. What’s it like? How do you communicate? How do you travel? What sort of technology, if any, do you have? Where do you sleep? What do you eat? Do you talk to humans, or is it forbidden? Are you friends with other sea creatures, or are they your enemy? Or are they your food?

If you can dream it, we want to hear about it! The more creative, the better!
