Mission Statement

Novel Novice was created as a place dedicated to showcasing Young Adult literature, encouraging reading and promoting education.

The Novel Novice staff regularly reviews books with both teen and adult readers in mind, and works with authors and publishers to promote new and recently released titles. Regular features include the book of the month, week-long book features, buzzworthy book profiles, contests, downloads, videos, author interviews, guest blogs, reviews and much more. Whenever possible, Novel Novice loves tying in educational lessons with contemporary YA lit and spotlighting classic pieces of literature we think teens today should check out.

Novel Novice also provides a variety of resources and tools for readers, students, teachers and parents alike. Students are invited to share their projects and essays, and teachers are encouraged to share the hard work of their students or to send in their lesson plans for YA books.

Novel Novice has since branched out to also include and feature select Middle Grade titles and Children’s Literature.
