Temptation by Inara Scott: Review + Blog Tour Contest

Book two of Bad Angels, the delightful series of standalone rom-coms from author Inara Scott, has arrived. Temptation is available NOW and I am so excited to help kick-off the blog tour for this book, which I absolutely adored. Read on for my review, then keep scrolling for your chance to win an Amazon gift card (open internationally)!

I fell HARD for Heartbreaker, the first book in the Bad Angels series, when it came out earlier this year. (Check out my review for Heartbreaker here.) I feel even harder when the series continued in book 2, Temptation.

As close friends and coworkers, attorney Zoe Riva and tech genius Connor Ashton know they can never get involved.

Never.

Ever.

Until a scooter accident lands Zoe in Connor’s arms—and his overnight custody—and she starts to see a man she’s never seen before. With her career and her heart on the line, Zoe can’t afford to take any chances. But when combustible chemistry takes over, even the smartest people in the room can make the biggest of mistakes…

The Bad Angels books are just so utterly delightful. Once again, Inara captures everything I love in a romantic comedy: feel-good swoon, snappy and captivating characters, intense emotions, and steamy romance. I laughed, I swooned, I rooted for the happy ending. I was utterly enchanted!

Connor is such a fun romantic hero. He’s hot and sexy, but also quiet, super nerdy, and still racked with guilt over something that happened years ago. (Also, wait until you meet his mom and her granny scientist friends. Seriously, they are #goals for my future!)

Much like Connor, Zoe is still living life based on past guilt — and it’s only when the two of them connect with some serious chemistry that she starts to allow herself to move forward. I loved her character growth in this book.

Part of what I loved so much about this book was that not only do we get Zoe and Connor’s incredible chemistry (complete with a lot of build-up and tension, and the oh-so-delicious pay-off), but we get to see them within their close circle of friends. This adds a whole extra dynamic to their relationship (both challenging and encouraging), and I loved this extra element to the story’s unfolding.

Each book in the Bad Angels series is written as a standalone, but honestly? Why wouldn’t you just read them all? They are SERIOUSLY great, so I do recommend starting with Heartbreaker before you dive into Temptation — but trust me, both books are well worth your time, and I am already itching for the next story. And though the series is named for the three “Bad Angels,” there’s clearly room for several more characters to make a romantic connection (and I. Am. Here. For. It.)
