Time to kick off our June writing contest — and inspired by our Book of the Month, The Stepsister’s Tale, we’re asking you to consider a well-known story from the villain’s perspective. Sort of like Disney just did with Maleficent, too – The Stepsister’s Tale examines the well-known Cinderella story from the perspective of the “evil” stepsister. And as you might imagine, this new narrator makes you think twice about the story you think you know so well.
Choose a well-known story (it does not have to be a fairy tale, but it certainly can be) and write a 250-500 short story (or partial story) that re-tells the plot from the villain’s perspective.
Be sure to consider how the story might be different when told from the villain’s side – and how the original narrator may have gotten the story “wrong.”
Submit your story using the entry form here.

I love this contest, alternate points of view are some of my favorite writing prompts. I love this .I told my alternate point of view from Medusa’s point of view.
