Claudia Gray: Fateful Q&A Part 3

Today, we wrap up our exclusive interview with Fateful author Claudia Gray by posing our traditional flash questions! Rapid fire answers in 3, 2, 1 … GO!

If they made a Claudia Gray candle, what would it smell like?

Cinnamon.

Favorite cartoon?

The X-Men animated series from the 1990s. I still just love it! In fact, I was rewatching an episode about three days ago. Thanks, Netflix streaming!

Chocolate or vanilla?

Chocolate.

Your personal theme song?

“Delicious Surprise” by Beth Hart

You’re on a deserted island and have to read one book for the rest of your life. What is it?

That answer would change from day to day, or maybe hour to hour. Today I’d probably pick MISTRESS OF ROME by Kate Quinn, which includes epic romance and the Roman Empire — two great tastes that go great together!

Favorite book as a child?

A LITTLE PRINCESS by Frances Hodgson Burnett. I still hate Miss Minchin with the fire of a thousand burning suns. There WERE diamond mines, you witch. There WERE.

Secret talent?

I can pack lighter than most airline stewardesses. This year I went to South America for a week with a small carryon and my purse, period. If I get to return to Australia next year (fingers crossed!), my goal is to manage that with a carryon too. But that’s getting extreme. Maybe.

Thanks again to Claudia — and to Marisa at Harper Teen for helping us arrange this interview!
