Holly Black: Red Glove Q&A Part 2

We continue our exclusive interview with Red Glove author Holly Black (see part 1 HERE!) — and today she answers our favorite flash questions of 2011:

If they made a Holly Black candle, what would it smell like?

Coffee, absinthe and the still-burning pages of a first draft.

Favorite cartoon?

Not sure if it really counts as a cartoon, as really it’s just animated, but I love, love, loved The Cat Returns and I urge everyone to see it.

Chocolate or vanilla?

Your personal theme song?

“I Wish I Had An Evil Twin” by The Magnetic Fields

You’re on a deserted island and have to read one book for the rest of your life. What is it?

That seems very hard, but I think I am going to go with Lord of the Rings.  It’s long, it must be bound up in a single edition somewhere, and it’s endlessly re-readable.

Favorite book as a child?

Thomasina by Paul Gallico

Secret talent?

I can touch my nose with my tongue.
