Elizabeth Eulberg: Prom and Prejudice Q&A Part 3

We had a ton of fun asking Prom and Prejudice author Elizabeth Eulberg all about her latest book, and today in Part III we’re having some fun. (See Part I and Part II.) Read on to see if there will be a sequel and what Elizabeth’s working on now! Thanks again to Elizabeth for taking the time to chat with us!

__________

Q. Describe your ideal, fantasy prom dress.

A. I liked my prom dress … for the 90s! I really like the dress on the cover of the book (although I didn’t choose it). But I think one of the most jaw dropping dresses I’ve seen in a while is Chelsea Clinton’s wedding dress– wow, simply elegant and amazing.

Q. We know Austen never wrote a sequel to Pride and Prejudice, but many fans have written their own versions of what happens next. Would you ever consider writing a sequel to Prom and Prejudice? What do you think such a sequel might entail?

A. I’ve been surprised about how many people have asked me if I’m going to write a sequel! It’s not something that I currently have planned. Lizzie still has a lot of obstacles to face at Longbourn, so you never know…

Q. We are obviously big fans of your work, so of course we want to know … what’s next? What are you working on now? What will your next book be about? When can we read it?

A. Thanks! The book (which doesn’t have a title yet) I’m currently working on takes place in an extremely competitive performing arts high school in New York City. It’s told through the point of view of four different students and showcases how that environment can put a toll on relationships. Even though there’s a lot of drama, it’s still pretty funny. It should be out early next year!

__________

Flash questions!

Q. If you could trade places with one person for a single day, who would it be & why?

A. Rock star!

Q. What was the last concert you saw?

A. Prince at Madison Square Garden – amazing!

Q. Still living with one drum stick?

A. Sadly yes…maybe that should be my New Year’s Resolution!

 Q. Guilty pleasure?

A. Massages – I have to get at least one a month (although I don’t feel guilty at all about it)!

Q. Chocolate or vanilla?

A. Vanilla

Q. Karaoke song?

A. “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” by Pat Benetar

Q. Will you ever donate your hair again?

A. I’d like to…it was more traumatic than I thought getting it all cut off, but I’m growing it out again, so we’ll see!
