We’re featuring Elizabeth Eulberg’s Prom & Prejudice — a modern twist on Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen — all this month here at Novel Novice. And since Elizabeth’s modern twist on the tale centers on the high school rite of passage known as PROM, we thought it would make the perfect subject for our February book of the month writing contest!

The Contest:

Using the Novel Novice Prom & Prejudice Contest Entry Form, respond to the following writing prompt:

Tell us a memorable story about your prom, or about your “anti-prom” activities.

Contest entries may be fictional OR non-fictional. Just have fun & be creative!

The Prizes:

Two winners will each receive a SIGNED copy of Prom & Prejudice by Elizabeth Eulberg. (Thanks to Elizabeth for donating the winners’ copies!!)

The Rules:

  • U.S. only
  • one entry per person
  • use the entry form
  • use proper grammar & spelling
  • 250-500 words
