A couple fun things came across my radar today that I thought I should pass along:
- Our May Book of the Month author Kimberly Pauley announced the winners of her Still Sucks to Be Me book launch contest. Two lucky winners from Nebraska will get a visit from Kimberly plus some cool prizes. There are a number of runners-up, too, so if you entered, you might want to check!
Bree Despain, author of The Dark Divine, revealed the cover of the next book in the series, The Lost Saint (right). She’s also running a great contest, so check it out.
- Mockingjay Examiner is reporting that the screenplay for The Hunger Games movie (which author Suzanne Collins wrote) is now being edited and passed along to the producers! Filming it set to start early next year.
- YALSA has launched its own CafePress store for those who want the world to know that they’re “well read.”
- Die-hard Cassandra Clare fans probably already know this, but in case you missed it, Cassie will be holding a live chat Aug. 4 during which she plans to reveal her “big announcement” — her future writing plans. You need to RSVP to participate in the chat.
- Cassie has also announced the stops for her Clockwork Angel tour, which you can find here.
