This week, the Dark Days of Supernatural – Summer Tour hit the road, bringing several fantastic YA authors to readers across the U.S. Their second stop of the tour was in Portland, Oregon — where we were pleased to serve as the official blog partner for Harper Teen. If you follow us on Twitter, you know we live tweeted the event. I was also there snapping lots of photos, grabbing signed copies of the books for a giveaway just for you guys, and interviewing the authors after their signing.
We’ll have the video interview soon, but today, here’s a look at highlights from the event, featuring some of our favorite photos:
It was a great event, wasn’t it? All the authors were really charismatic. I only wish they’d had time to read from some of the books, but you can only do so much when you’ve got five authors!
Be seeing you at other events!

Sara, so nice to see you again. Thanks for the buttons! I ❤ them! I was sitting next to Vy. Who knew she was a blogger too. This was such a great event. All of the authors were so interesting. I've got a great new stack of books to read now. Where to start???
You too!!!
You were sitting next to me? To my left or my right? Now i’m curious but hoping I’ll bump into you at other events.
It was super awesome that I had a chance to meet you Sara! And the pictures turned out great. In the group picture, I was the one with the Jamba Juice haha. I hope I’d see you at more book events 🙂
Definitely mark your calendar for Suzanne Young’s signing at Powell’s Cedar Hills on July 12th:

And come to Wordstock Festival, Oct. 8th & 9th … I’m in charge of all the YA/children’s authors and we’ve got an amazing line-up for this year. (I’ll reveal this year’s YA authors here on Novel Novice soon!)

Oh, I so wanted to go to that! My sister and I were all excited and ready right up to the day of the event when we lost our ride and couldn’t make it. I can hardly wait until I get my driver’s license! Thank you for sharing the great pics! 🙂
I was wondering who you were, Sara! LOL. I knew you were a blogger, but I couldn’t figure out which blog. 🙂
I’m in the second row, first on the left, in that first picture! I had no idea you even took it. LOL. Several others I recognize are in there, too!
It was so, so fun. I could have listened to them all night! I can’t wait to see your video.
Oh, nice! 🙂
