I Knead You Tonight by Teagan Hunter

The second book in Teagan Hunter’s Slice series has arrived, and it delivers on the snark, sass, and sexy times you’ve come to expect from her romantic comedies.

I hate Drew Woods, and she hates me.

Even so, I’m not the cold jerk most make me out to be, and I have no problem moving the single mom and her baby into my home. I do, however, draw a line when it comes to acting on the way her loose lips make me feel.

Alive.

She’s too mouthy, too prying, and her curves are way too distracting.

I might have lost my way after a nearly fatal car accident, but I’m not stupid. Giving in to Drew would be a short-lived fix for this pain I’m saddled with, and I knead something permanent.

I’d be insane to think what we have could be anything other than temporary…right?

If the synopsis didn’t make it clear, this book definitely has some hate-to-love vibes. But it’s actually clear from very early on that Winston absolutely cares about Drew … she just also kind of drives him nuts, and he’s a bit of a crabby dude, on top of that. So he comes off as being a grouch, even while he’s doing nice things.

It was delightful seeing Winston’s grouchy persona melt away. Seeing him being more outwardly kind to Drew, and falling in love with her baby boy. And also watching Drew discover that there’s more to Winston than just the stoner slacker persona he’s embraced for so long.

We also get to spend more time with Wren and Foster from the first book in the series (although this one CAN be read as a standalone, I do highly recommend A Pizza My Heart), plus Wren and Winston’s hilarious dad. I also loved getting to know Winston’s roommate Sully better. He almost stole the show many a time, and I’m very hopeful that he gets the spotlight in a future book.

I Knead You Tonight was an absolute delight to read — funny, sexy, and utterly charming. It’s the perfect feel-good book to help you escape the world for a few hours. It’s available now:
