One of the books I’m most excited for this year is We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal — and technically, I’ve already read an early copy!
This book is generating a lot of buzz, and for good reason. It’s an own-voices fantasy inspired by Arabian myths, with a lush setting, captivating characters, and a deliciously twisty plotline. The first in a duology, We Hunt the Flame is a perfectly seductive read.
But if you’re like most people, you’ll have to wait until May 14th for the book’s official release date. So in the meantime, here are some other YA fantasy books with similar vibes to whet your whistle while you wait for We Hunt the Flame (or, like me, while you wait for WHTF #2).
