A Court of Wings & Ruin by Sarah J. Maas, aka ACOWAR, the third book in the A Court of Thorns & Roses trilogy, has been out in the world for just over a week now – and, frankly, I can’t stop thinking about it.
I LOVED this book. Don’t worry. No spoilers here – and please, no spoilers in the comments! – but I can safely say that this book gave me major FEELS and I’m even more obsessed than ever with this series, and am already craving a re-read of all three books while we await the arrival of three new standalone companion novels.

I love the strong female characters and the romance. My favorite author.
I just adore all of her characters and how complex they all are. Also how she writes such addictive books; I can never put down a SJM book!
I love Sarah J Maas’s books because she has created characters that i fall in love with every time i turn the page. Also, her books are so full of beautiful descriptions and comparisons. I love how she brings in so many colours and ties then in with what the characters look like or what they are feeling. And she breaks the classic cliches of a girls first love is her only one etc. She also depicts anxiety and ptsd in a realistic way. All these things together help me to connect with the characters and fall in love with the characters all over again.
I love ACOWAR so much. Thank you for the chance! Fingers crossed SJM would come to west coast Canada one day!
Oops I forgot to answer the question. I love how SJM manages to surprise us almost at every turn. She’s able to keep the story flowing and bring up things we wouldn’t expect. I love that!
I love Sarah J. Maas’s books because her stories have so much depth, emotion , and are beautifully written. She always keeps the reader guessing with every turn of the page, all while filling our hearts with the beautiful characters and the rich worlds she builds around them.

I just love everything about her books: the complexity of the plots and characters, how real and flawed they are, the world-building, the sexy romances, the gorgeous writing, characters that experience multiple relationships in their lives, the foreshadowing and plot twists and just general epicness and level of emotion in her books. She’s my absolute favourite author; no-one else comes close for me.
I had never heard of SJM before until a book group I’m in kept mentioning her books. I tried ACOTAR and fell in love with the characters and the world that was created. Now after reading all 3 books in the series I think I love Az the best. So heartbreaking his story is. Thanks for the chance!

I think what I love the most about Sarah’s books are the dynamics she create between characters. As a reader you can really feel the emotional bond some of the characters share and each of them are unique and different in their own way, it’s a beautiful thing!

I love how she writes her female characters- strong, complex, confident in their sexuality- her books have wonderful messages about choice and equality in love. SJM is not afraid of writing romances and relationships that are real and I adore her books.

I actually didn’t read her books until ACOWAR released. So I started reading ACOTAR just a day before ACOWAR’s release and hopped on to the second one and then finally the third one.
I was a bit sceptical before reading the books cause of all the hype. All the what if’s in my mind.
But I finally entered the world of Mass. And I regret not reading the books before. This world I just love everything about it. All the MC’s, other characters, the description of the places, the passion in the writing style. I love love love everything about it. Especially the not so fitting characters that is of the Bone Carver, the Suriel, the Weaver, they all are so intriguing. That if this world was actually real I’d be wandering around in it just like Feyre.
I love her books because the way she writes it is amazing! She definitely has a talent! The books sucks you in and you just don’t want to stop 🙂 she makes the characters lovable and you grow very close to each one as you read on.
I love Sarah’s books because of the strong female characters who support each other. The males are also feminists and are respectful of women. Her books also portray realistic anxiety and depression and her books are full of art!
I love the worlds SJMaas crafts and the way she draws you in with the amazing characters and storylines. It’s easy to get lost in these adventures.

I love SJM work, specially the ACOTAR series because they make me forget a little my life. They transport me to another world in my mind and in this world I forget my pain for long moments. It’s incredible. It’s almost the same when I’m reading Harry Potter. I think they both call to me. They were the only books I could read in the last two months. And I’m really grateful for them.
I love SJM books because of her attention to character dimension and detail! Her world building is fantastic, and always leaves potential for new books!

I love Sarah J Maas’ books because the stories are so moving and sweep me away into a different world. The ACOTAR series really resonates with me especially, and after I re-read the first two books in the series I loved it even more. The characters are complex and the relationships amazing. ACOWAR was so good, and I can’t wait to read the next book in the ACOTAR series.
The obvious answer is Rhys, most selfless character I’ve ever read and in the first book I could tell he was goin ro be more than what we saw. Tattoo detailing is something I love as it’s a big thing with me. World building is breathtaking. Can’t wait for the next books.
