Emily Blunt, Rebecca Ferguson, Haley Bennett, Justin Theroux, Luke Evans, Allison Janney, Edgar Ramirez, Lisa Kudrow and Laura Prepon star in DreamWorks Pictures’ The Girl on the Train, from director Tate Taylor (The Help, Get on Up) and producer Marc Platt (Bridge of Spies, Into the Woods).
In the thriller, Rachel (Blunt), who is devastated by her recent divorce, spends her daily commute fantasizing about the seemingly perfect couple who live in a house that her train passes every day, until one morning she sees something shocking happen there and becomes entangled in the mystery that unfolds.
Based on Paula Hawkins’ bestselling novel, The Girl on the Train is adapted for the screen by Erin Cressida Wilson. The film’s executive producers are Jared LeBoff and Celia Costas, and it will be released by Universal Pictures.

Novel Novice 
I always notice the trees change w the seasons
I always look to see if the fire trucks or rescue squad is able to leave as I pass.
I see a bike trail.

The blue lights on a small diner. Blue’s my favorite color and it always pops out.
Billboards always catch my eye.
My daily commute is uneventful – I might see a dog or two
I pass a new home being constructed but it’s GIGANTIC and I am curious to see if it ends up being a celeb…
My daughter and I always see these “coffee guys” as we call them on Friday mornings outside their church offering coffee to fellow people in a drive thru type fashion. We always wave and say good morning!
I usually notice people walking that’s about all.
I don’t really see anything interesting except dog walkers 🙂
I always notice all the people out walking their dogs at all times of day.
I do not have a daily commute, I stay home and watch my grandson.
I like watching the trees as I drive to work.
I notice homeless people
The street signs and people walking catch my attention on my daily commute.
I see cars that are going too fast.
I see lots of people walking their dogs. (live near a dog park) other than that nothing exciting.
I see accidents
I live in south Florida and every day I see this lone sandhill crane sitting on an electrical box by the lake. I always wonder where his/her family is?
I always notice the different police officers doing traffic in school zones and a certain lady who always walks her dog.
I ALWAYS NOTICE THE HOMELESS COMMUNITY.
I see a pizza place filled with people who are hungover.
I usually see the same Indian man walking around by the railroad track.
I see lots of nice cars and houses.
Local retailers with family-friendly sayings of the week or a thoughtful play on words on their stores’ signs get my attention
People walking their dogs always catch my attention.
I usually see people texting and drifting out of their lanes
My city took away several (formerly full of cars) car driving lanes to install bicycle lanes. I notice that, where there once were many cars daily throughout the day, there are no bicycles, just empty, unused road space and gridlock in the remaining car lanes.
Campus buildings
I’m self-employed so I don’t have a commute, but I am able to look out my office windows and see the waterway that runs along the backyard!
School buses! I am always so scared about accidentally passing them, so they always catch my attention!
I used to see an older gentleman walking his dog every day. It got to the point where we would usually give each other a little wave. Then one day he just wasn’t there, and I have always wondered what happened to him.
I see this flock of geese that always hang around the front of our business.
I pass a really lovely park on my way to work. I always love to see what’s going on there as I drive by.
I’M A PEOPLE WATCHER AND NOTICE AS I’M WAITING FOR THE BUS.
This seems so great. I work at a few hospitals so in the meantime on my way I see very sick people, very sick people that are so full of life still and so sweet. It is amazing to see people and their daily struggle.. those of who still remain friendly and happy!
There is a local church sign that always has funny sayings on it.
