Today, author Hannah West stops by with her Dream Cast for a hypothetical movie adaptation of Kingdom of Ash & Briars, but first, here’s more about the book:

And now, here’s an introduction from Hannah and her fantasy dream cast for Kingdom of Ash & Briars:
Casting characters with familiar faces can make physical descriptions and even mannerisms easier to write. Sometimes I choose celebrities. Other times I just search through senior portrait photography on Pinterest and try to find a rando who fits my character better than any celebrity I can think of. But the KOAAB cast is pretty star-studded and fun!
Bristal actually takes on several appearances throughout the course of the novel – it would be interesting to see how a handful of different actors would establish common Bristal-esque mannerisms or expressions. I would also love to see the nuance these actors would bring to the KOAAB version of some familiar fairytale characters.
That seems like a pretty dreamy cast of characters to picture while reading, no?
