Today, we’re celebrating Novel Novice’s 6th blog-o-versary! Okay, technically, our blog birthday was a couple days ago — on January 12th — but I messed up the dates in my head when I was scheduling content for the blog, so here we are.
Nonetheless! We have an excellent celebration in store for you. And by celebration, I mean contest. An excellent contest!
What will the winner receive, you ask? THIS! This is what the winner will receive:
The grand prize winner will receive:
- Signed copies of the following five books:
- The Killing Jar by Jennifer Bosworth
- The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness
- Vanishing Girls by Lauren Oliver
- The Way Back from Broken by Amber Keyser
- Firebug by Lish McBride
- A Novel Novice “Book Nerd” tote bag
- A complete set of Novel Novice buttons
- A complete set of Novel Novice bookmarks
- And assorted swag, bookmarks, and goodies from various authors
Three runners-up will each receive a Novel Novice “Book Nerd” tote bag, bookmarks, and buttons.
So how can you enter?
1. Tell us in the comments below what you love most about Novel Novice! Since our anniversary contest is especially intended for our regular followers & not the casual contestant, please be specific.
2. Fill out the Rafflecopter form here to complete your entry.
3. BONUS STEP: Tell us in the comments anything new you’d LIKE to see happen at Novel Novice. We’re working on some big changes in the next few weeks, and we’d love your ideas!
Contest is open to the U.S. only; runs through midnight (PT) on Thursday, January 28th.

I look forward to all your blog posts, there is always something fun and interesting to learn. Your book reviews are invaluable and your wallpapers are stunning!
Congrats on your 6th Blog-O-Versary and many more!
I AM SO SORRY! I just realized that I had edited another (active) Rafflecopter form instead of creating a new one! I truly apologize. Your comment still counts, but you’ll need to re-submit your Rafflecopter entry here: https://www.rafflecopter.com/rafl/display/6d10e2ef97/?
This was one of the the very first blogs I started following years ago. Keep up the good work!

I’m not sure of anything new. Maybe book news or author news?
I really like the idea of re-read reviews or reviews of “older” books every once and a while. I find it fun to talk about books that lots of people have read and can comment on too.

I love how Novel Novice posts about all the newest YA books and help them and their author to get known. You host contests and such like these to premote the books that everyone loves so much. Thank you for helping authors and entertaining us book folk. Happy 6th blog-a-versary!
Your Loyal Blog Follower,
Sarah
I’d love to see some more author interviews. It’s always great to hear from the authors perspective.

I love your reviews and contests!
Happy Blogiversary! Hmm, I like how you always update the upcoming news in the bookish community. I especially love the Wallpaper Desktop Calendar, they are AMAZING! I also love how Novel Novices does many author’s interview/guest posts and book promo. There is a great variety of posts at Novel Novices, which are very much so enjoyable.
I don’t think I could ask for anything better, since your blog is super awesome already. If I must say, I would like Novel Novices to continue the blog’s still-expanding different, diverse categories.
SIX YEARS?! Congratulations!
Thanks Allison!
Some new stuff I would like to see on the site would be author interviews but with a game of some sort like Two Truths and a Lie. I can’t think of anything new you can. I really love the wallpaper you do so continued doing that!
Six years already? Wow! I love the real humanness of this blog — I feel that there really is a person behind it, with a complex life who is as into books and fandom stuff as I am. I always check out the new books posts (because I totally need more books on my TBR, lol) and I love all the creative bits you come up with. Maybe for the future you could do a fan art feature? I don’t know, I just really love that kind of stuff. 🙂
First, congrats on 6 years! Novel Novice is awesome. I’ve been following your blog for quite some time now and I love the quirky little snowmen covers that you do, and the pretty desktop calendars. I think that the interviews and guest blog posts are awesome and always well-written and the new releases posts really come in handy. I don’t do a lot of middle grade reading but I think that it’s really impressive that you include that genre. The only suggestion that I can think of is that you do more “best of” posts. I really like those!
I like everything you do that involves books! I like the reviews, promos, and giveaways! I also like the wallpaper calendars. Congrats on your 6th anniversary! Hope you have a great 2016!!
I love the variety of books that you cover. I also like the non-book, yet book-related “stuff” that you include such as wallpapers or links to sites that you think we will like.
As a teacher, I am always interested in ways to encourage both my children and my “kids” to read. I also would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to find science-based books to include in a science classroom. Maybe you could include an educator day? I know that could run all over the place, but it is something that I am always hunting for.
Congratulations on six years! You were one of the first bloggers/blogs I followed, back in 2012. I remember doing a writing contest during one of your author features! I think it was for Salt & Storm possibly. That was super fun and I STILL can’t believe I won. 😀
I have no idea what kinds of tips to give you, in terms of your blog! I do like the writing contests you hosted in the past, like the one I entered for Salt & Storm (again I think it was for Salt & Storm? It was some time ago!). I’m not an aspiring author but I liked putting my writing skills to use like that.
Thank you, and again, congratulations! 🙂
