To celebrate our November Book of the Month, A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray, we’re kicking off a writing contest all about the multi-verse.
Imagine an alternate universe. What’s it like? What choice or choices set this world on a different course from our own? How is it similar? How is it different?
You have two options for this month’s writing contest:
(a) Write a 250-500 word description of your alternate universe & how it came to be. Tell us all about this place and what makes it different (& similar) to our own world.
* or *
(b) Write a 250-500 word short story (or excerpt) that takes place in your own version of an alternate universe. Just make sure we know what sets this world apart from our own!
Submit your piece using the entry form here.
The Prize
One winner will receive a copy of A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray
The Rules
- One entry per person
- Must use the entry form
- Must use proper grammar & spelling
- U.S. only
The Deadline
All entries are due by midnight (PT) on Sunday, November 30th.
Questions? Leave ’em in the comments & we’ll reply!
I hope you don’t mind, but I re-submitted my entry. I realized that I had spelled a characters name wrong and I also gave it a title – “Burn in Hell.”
Thanks for the giveaway,

hi there, I am so excited to have won this contest. I love this author and can’t wait to get the book. I was wondering if you could tell me which promotion company this is coming from so I can email them to check on this as it has not arrived yet? I would appreciate the help.
Thanks
Stephanie
Hi Stephanie — Congrats on winning! Please be patient, as this prize is being mailed directly from the author — and authors, like bloggers, have crazy schedules, so it can take us a few months to get out to the post office. Thanks for your understanding!
(Sometimes prizes can also get lost in the mail, and unfortunately, there’s nothing we can do about that when it happens. If you have any questions, please see our contest policy.)
