Mrs. P’s “Be A Famous Writer Contest”

Today kicks off the 6th annual Mrs. P’s Be A Famous Writer Contest – organized by the folks behind Mrs. P’s Magic Library, one of my favorite sites for children to (safely) read stories for free on the web!

The contest starts today and runs through November 15th, and is open to any Kindergarten through 4th Grade classrooms. This year’s theme is TIME TRAVEL.

You have been given a time machine and can travel to any point in the history of the Earth. Where will you travel and why?

Classrooms are invited to write stories between 250-1000 words, fiction or nonfiction – one story per classroom. See all the details here.
