One of the upcoming book to movie adaptations we are most excited about here at Novel Novice is The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
Why didn’t it make your “Most Anticipated Movie Adaptations of 2012” post then, you ask? Well, because it doesn’t have a release date … and while I sincerely HOPE it comes out this year, I just don’t know for sure.
But that doesn’t stop me for anxiously awaiting its arrival in theaters. The Perks of Being a Wallflower has long been one of my all-time, ultimate favorite books ever — and I got the thrill of a lifetime last year when I was part of an exclusive visit to the set of the movie adaptation.
Besides meeting and interviewing several key cast members like Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, and Nina Dobrev, I also got a chance to meet and interview the author/screenwriter/director, Steven Chbosky. (Side note: that’s the only moment I fan-girled. Actors I admire? No sweat. The author who wrote the Book That Changed My Teenage Life? Total fangirl. When he offered to sign my book? I nearly died.)
You’ll get to see my interviews with all these fine folks eventually (when? That’s still TBA) — but in the meantime, more and more photos from the film have been released and we wanted a place to admire them all so-far.
