NaNoWriMo Book Feature: Anna and the French Kiss

We’ve featured Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins before, but did you know it was a NaNo novel?

Anna was looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. So she’s less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris—until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all . . . including a serious girlfriend.

But in the City of Light, wishes have a way of coming true. Will a year of romantic near-misses end with their long-awaited French kiss?

Our review can be found here, as well as Sandy’s video review here.

Check out Stephanie’s website for these goodies and more:

You can find Anna and the French Kiss at Amazon (paperback and Kindle), Barnes and Noble (paperback and Nook), Indie Bound, The Book Depository,  or your local book store.

Stephanie Perkins has written a companion novel to Anna and the French Kiss called Lola and the Boy Next Door which is available now.  A third and final companion novel, Ilsa and the Happily Ever After, is coming in Fall 2012.

For the comments: Have you read Anna and the French Kiss? Did you know it was a NaNo book? How’s the writing going? Are you excited to be more than half-way there?

  1. Wow! Totally didn’t know Anna was a NaNo novel. Nice to see successes come out of that craziness!

I actually liked Lola a bit more than Anna, but both were good reads. And in real life, Stephanie is such an adorable person, it’s an absolute joy to read her books.

    Smiles!

    1. I didn’t know it either when I first read it. It really is nice to see the successes, isn’t it? That’s why we’re featuring one each week this month.

I’m looking forward to Lola…my to-read list is too long!

  2. I think at some point I learned it was a Nano novel, but I totally forgot. That’s really cool! It clearly went through a lot of revisions after, but it’s nice to see what wonderful things can come out of a month of writing insanity. Very inspiring.

I haven’t read Lola yet, but it’s going on my Christmas List!
