It’s time for our November Book of the Month writing contest inspired by Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. And since the book isn’t out yet, we’ve crafted a writing prompt you can start without any knowledge of the book … but you’ll have a chance to win a copy!
Try your hand at stream of consciousness writing! It’s a technique used throughout Shatter Me, and can be very fun to explore.
Don’t know what stream of consciousness is? We’ll have a post on it coming up later this month, but in the meantime, you can learn more here. Also check out “free writing” for more ideas.
For the contest, write 250-500 words of stream of consciousness — fiction or non fiction — and submit it using the Novel Novice Shatter Me Contest Entry Form!
