Posted October 19, 2011 by Sara | Novel Novice 1 Comment

Today, This Dark Endeavor author Kenneth Oppel answers the traditional Novel Novice flash questions as we wrap-up our exclusive interview. Be sure to check out part 1 and part 2 before continuing on …

If they made a Kenneth Oppel candle, what would it smell like?

Like Kenneth Oppel I guess.

Favorite cartoon?

Iron Giant, the movie.

Chocolate or vanilla?

Both together.

Your personal theme song?

It changes every few weeks. Right now it’s Slow Dawn by Smashing Pumpkins. I have no idea what it’s about.

You’re on a deserted island and have to read one book for the rest of your life. What is it?

Middlemarch, George Elliot.

Favorite book as a child?

Danny Champion of the World, Roald Dahl.

Secret talent?

I used to be able to play simple tunes by tapping a fingernail against my upper front teeth. It’s weird, I know. I tried again recently to impress my son, and think I may have lost the gift.

Once again, thanks to Ken for answering all our questions — even the silly ones! 🙂
