Hourglass Author Myra McEntire’s Reading List

Can’t wait until June 14th to read Hourglass by Myra McEntire? We don’t blame you. But to tide you over, we asked Myra to recommend some other books to tide you over in the meantime. Here’s what she had to say:

Books I’m Excited About Right Now:

I’ve had Jeri Smith-Ready’s SHADE on my iPad for a while now, and I just bought SHIFT. I can’t wait to dig into these. I think she’s going to make me cry. I know she is. I will yell at her.

One of the first books I read after I came out of my Book Two writing cave was THE REVENANT by Sonia Gensler. Dude. I loved this book. It was so, so fresh. And spooky. And SWOONY.

Another book I recently finished was THE GIRL WHO COULD FLY by Victoria Forester. The paperback cover completely intrigued me, and I wasn’t disappointed. Love.

I am currently listening to A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES by Deborah Harkness from Audible. I love it. I love the narrator, and the way the story is familiar but also twisty and sciencey. Yes, that is a word. I’m also listening to THE HELP by Kathryn Stockett. WHOA. Multicast recording. Amazing.

PS. The Revenant just so happens to be our July Book of the Month, so we doubly recommend it! 😉
