We want YOUR questions for Holly Black & Cassie Clare!

In case you hadn’t heard, a couple of new books hit stores last week … City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare and Red Glove by Holly Black. And now, Cassie & Holly are out on TOUR together — and in fact, we’ll be interviewing the dynamic duo on Wednesday, April 13th before their Portland, Ore. appearance.

Then, follow @NovelNovice for live tweets from the event! We’ll share tidbits from what’s going on, photos & more. It all begins at 7pm PT/10pm ET tomorrow (Wednesday) night! (Though tune in about a half hour earlier, if you can … we might have some early tweets, too!)

But first! We want YOUR questions for Holly and Cassie. Leave your best, most-thoughtful & original questions for the two of them in the comments below. We’ll pick some of the best questions to ask during our interview — but be original. Remember, these ladies have done LOTS of interviews in the past (including a couple here at Novel Novice), so we’re looking for unique and original questions. We’ve already got a few of our own, but we want yours, too!

Then, be sure to check out Cassie & Holly on their other tour stops throughout the rest of the month. And of course, be sure to pick up your copies of City of Fallen Angels and Red Glove — we LOVE both of these books!

  1. Hello!

I LOVE reading your blog. I’m a teacher and I appreciate your resources. Thank you!

I had a suspicion that you were in the Portland area like me. I think I may have even seen you at the Suzanne Collins signing. I’m going to see Cassie and Holly too! I hope to see you there. How would I recognize you?

  2. can I ask a question?
okay,so, When you’re writing a book, do you already have the end planed or do you see where the story takes you?
    🙂

  3. Okay, I have a few questions for each author. Please feel free to use one, two, all or none. Just some things I’ve wondered about…

    For Cassandra Clare–
    1. As I read your books, it always amazes me how many legends and historical references you use (Lilith as Adam’s 1st wife, each angel’s story, etc.). How much research do you complete for each book and how much is taken from prior knowledge?

    2. With all of your tours, you must’ve seen some amazing places. Are aspects of Idris modeled after any real city(s)?

    For Holly Black–
    1. I’ve read there are some real-live debates over DNA registries. Where did you get the inspiration for the curse-workers tests?

    2. The White Cat in the first book seemed to draw some parallels to the White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland (pulling Cassel into a new world, starting the journey, etc.). Was that intentional or merely coincidence?
