We have spent the past several weeks posting lesson ideas for S. E Hinton’s The Outsiders right here at Novel Novice for our segment, The Outsiders Mondays. As I wind down teaching this unit, I thought it might be a good idea to compile a list of our resources for the many awesome teachers who frequent the site. Don’t forget to check back Friday for ourt list of sources to use while teaching The Hunger Games.
In a few weeks, we’ll continue our lesson study with all things Dystopian. My students will be venturing into the brave world of book talks / literature circles. They will be able to choose one of the following books to read and analyze: The Uglies, The Giver, Matched, The Hunger Games. Of course we’ll be providing sample lessons and project ideas for these books. 🙂
