All this week, we’ve been bringing you a variety of Holiday Shopping Guides for you and the book lovers in your life. Today, we’re focusing specifically on a shopping guide just for Twilight fans — both new books they’ll dig, and some cool products they should check out (if they haven’t already).
Books for Twilight Fans:
Here are some titles Twilight fans might enjoy once they’re done re-reading Stephenie Meyer’s books for the five-zillionth time:
- Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
- Fallen and Torment by Lauren Kate
- The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting
- The Mortal Instruments series & The Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare
- The Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith
- The Secret Circle by L.J. Smith
- The Blue Bloods series by Melissa de la Cruz
- Beautiful Creatures and Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl
Other Goodies for Twilight Fans:
FAME: The Cast of Twilight – a graphic novel from Bluewater Productions
Previously released as individual titles, this beautifully illustrated graphic novel contains the biographies of Stephenie Meyer, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart. Each section offers a simple, biographical look at the lives of each of these superstars, what lead them to Twilight and what the future holds for them next. They are biographies without being boring. Plus, there’s the added bonus of the beautiful illustrations on every page. This is a must-own for any true Twilight Saga fan. It can be purchased online, or contact your local comic book shop.
Twilight Beauty Makeup & Nail Polish Line
Sure, makeup isn’t the traditional merchandising you’d think of for a mega book-turned-movie franchise — but I have to confess, I’m sort of in love with the line of products available from Twilight Beauty. They offer a wide variety of makeup products to satisfy fans of just about any age — and with varying tastes in makeup. I’m particularly fond of the color palettes and the lip gloss. They all come in varying, beautiful shades and are extremely long-lasting. I’ve splurged on these items a few times already, and I wouldn’t complain if they showed up in my stocking again this Christmas. And new this year is the Nox line of nail polishes inspired by the movie franchise. Also be sure to check out the various gift sets, which offer you more bang for your buck and make a great present this holiday season.
Fan-made T-shirt Designs from CafePress
Sure, you can get “official” gear from retailers like Hot Topic & Borders (though that official gear is in short supply these days, since the release of new merchandise is usually tied in with the latest movie’s theatrical release). But some of our favorite t-shirts (and goodies like hoodies, water bottles, etc.) can be found on CafePress. The fans there have Summit Entertainment’s blessing and encouragement to make as many creative Twilight-inspired designs as they like (though there are a few guidelines). And Twilight fans are ridiculously clever and artistic. Browsing what CafePress has to offer is almost more fun than wearing the designs. Also look for their Twilight Saga Christmas tree ornaments.
