Posted October 17, 2010 by 1 Comment

Today kicks off this year’s annual Teen Read Week, an initiative by YALSA, the Young Adult Library Services Association. Every year since 1998, libraries and schools have been recognizing and celebrating Teen Read Week. We’re celebrating teen readers this week at Novel Novice too.

This year’s theme: Books with Beat. Check out your local public or school library to join in the festivities and fun centered around Books with Beat. Click HERE to vote on next year’s theme.

This week, we’ll be featuring some awesome teen bloggers and their thoughts on reading, books and everything else.

Look for the Teens’ Top Ten to be announced on Tuesday. Will your favorite make the list?

Tun[e] in at 11 a.m. Central on Oct. 18, when we debut the Teens’ Top Ten winners in a video featuring WWE Diva Eve. The video will be available at WWE.com and as downloadable Windows Media and MP4 files. We’re planning to make it available on TeacherTube as well.      -YALSA
