You’ve probably heard about some great fallen angel stories in YA lit these days (one of the most notable would be Becca Fitzpatrick’s Hush, Hush). But there’s a new YA book about an actual angel, who isn’t fallen — but is just visiting Earth. The only problem? She’s not supposed to reveal herself … and falling in love with a human is probably a bad idea, too.
We’re really excited to check out Halo by Alexandra Adornetto, and this new book trailer from MacMillan makes us even more excited to go pick up a copy:
You can learn more about Alexandra & Halo on MacMillan’s website. Meanwhile, here is the official book synopsis:
Three angels are sent down to bring good to the world: Gabriel, the warrior; Ivy, the healer; and Bethany, a teenage girl who is the least experienced of the trio. But she is the most human, and when she is romantically drawn to a mortal boy, the angels fear she will not be strong enough to save anyone—especially herself—from the Dark Forces.
Is love a great enough power against evil?
Alexandra Adornetto was fourteen when she published her first book, The Shadow Thief, in Australia. The daughter of two English teachers, she admits to being a compulsive book buyer who has run out of shelf space, and now stacks her reading “in wobbly piles on my bedroom floor.” Alex lives in Melbourne, Australia; Halo marks her U.S. debut.
Being an Aussie myself, I hope Alexandra has great success with her writing career, sounds like she has had a passion for writing from an early age:)
OMG!!!!!!!!! i just read the and its 1 of the greates fantasy novels i’ve ever read!!!! i can”t wait for the next one 2 come out! i mean like i sure hope theirs another one!!!!!!!!!
im already a fan!!!!
i totally agree with you.. it was such a good book and i enjoyed it so much.. i even read it twice.. i’m also excited for the next two books.. 🙂
Halo was a really good book. it was a bit slow paced but then i was patient enough to still enjoy it. the romance was a little fast paced. but honestly, i really think that it’s one of the best books i have ever read. i enjoyed Bethany’s innocence and naivety. and i fell in love with Xavier’s kindness and protectiveness. such a perfect guy. and i was a bit intrigued by the ending i can’t wait to read Hades (the next book). i will surely be the first ones to buy it’s sequels!
