Scholastic unveils the official Mockingjay trailer!

We’re launching our official 13 day countdown to Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins on August 11th, but the excitement is growing over at Scholastic — where just today, they unveiled the official book trailer:

I love that catch phrase, “Break Free.” I’m picturing some desktop wallpapers coming your way! ๐Ÿ™‚

Scholastic also announced the launch of the Official Hunger Games Facebook Fan Page — and an upcoming 13 District Blog Tour leading up to the release of Mockingjay, with some really cool, exclusive giveaways! The blogs will be some of the top YA blogs around and will be announced soon. But here’s a hint: we’re really excited about District 7. ๐Ÿ˜‰

You can read more about what the Facebook page will feature at The Hunger Games Examiner.

  1. so stoked about this book! I am teaching the hunger games next year to my 8th graders. I am saving up money now to buy a class set. I purchased a class set of Speak for my summer school kids this summer, and they loved it.

super excited to teach hunger games. working on a unit plan, and will of course post.

      1. (Oh, and we’re posting our essay/project ideas for Hunger Games on 8/23 … part of our 13 day countdown! Maybe we’ll have some ideas for you … :D)

  2. i can totally have it together by then. been crazy around here between summer school and my pipes bursting and flooding my living room. (house has been a construction site for over a month). i think this has to have been the craziest year of my life.

p.s just read a really good ya book, 13 to life. will post review tomorrow hopefully.

    1. Ooh, can’t wait to see the review!

And isn’t home ownership delightful sometimes? (My washing machine flooded the hallway of my condo the very first night I moved in a few years ago … I freaked out!)

No rush on the unit plan. I’ll email you our Mockingjay banner and countdown details just so you have them, though. ๐Ÿ™‚
