Contest: We’re celebrating 50 years of Mockingbird

Over the past few months, we’ve been bringing you the news about this year’s 50th anniversary celebrations for Harper Lee’s classic, To Kill a Mockingbird.

On the book’s actual birthday, Lee’s hometown — and real-life inspiration for the fictitious Maycomb — pulled out all the stops, throwing a city-wide bash featuring a marathon reading by famous figures, tours, museum displays, etc.

If you’d like to win a 50th anniversary edition of To Kill a Mockingbird (thanks to Grand Central Publishing) all you have to do is leave a comment with the name of Lee’s actual hometown. (You can search our site for the answer!) We’ll pick a winner at random.

Remember: Be sure to include your e-mail address in the comment entry form (just type it in the area where it asks for your e-mail, not in the body of the comment). We’ll use this to contact you if you win.

Contest ends Tuesday, July 27 at midnight (PT).

Prizes can only be mailed to the U.S.

Good luck!
