Novel Novice featured on The Mortal Instruments Examiner

Novel Novice is featured in a new article at The Mortal Instruments Examiner today, about our upcoming August Book of the Month feature on Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare and The Mortal Instruments series:

You don’t have to spend much time on the Novel Novice site or speak with its founder, Sara Gundell for long to know that it is much more than a fan site. Novel Novice takes the popular pop culture trend for young adult literature and takes an educational spin on it. This unique take on a fan site will be no different when Novel Novice celebrates the release of Cassandra Clare’s Clockwork Angel (the first book in The Infernal Devices series) all next month.

Novel Novice was born as a spin-off site from Twilight Novel Novice. The popular Twilight site was the brainchild of teachers that would use the popular phenomenon to inspire students to look further into literature and use their love for Twilight to spawn a passion for reading.

“I actually got the idea from talking to my dad,” explains Novel Novice founder Sara Gundell. “We were talking about where we (Twilight Novel Novice) will go after Twilight and it just made sense to create another site that would focus on the educational side of all young adult literature.”
