Top children’s (and YA) books of 2009

Publishers Weekly just released its top books of 2009 and, even though she didn’t actually release any new books in 2009, Stephenie Meyer was STILL on top, selling roughly 26.5 million copies (and that doesn’t even include The Host.)

The other big winner was Jeff Kinney, author of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, which sold 5.7 million. Add in a do-it-yourself journal and a few other titles and you get a grand total of 9.5 million copies.

Here are the books that sold over 300,000 copies:
