This past weekend, I got the chance to sit down with The Body Finder author Kimberly Derting (and meet some other awesome NW writers). Today, I’m excited to present our exclusive video interview with Kim — in which she talks about writing The Body Finder, finding inspiration from Stephen King and the Pacific Northwest, and what to expect in the sequel. Kim also comes to the defense of Stephenie Meyer and The Twilight Saga books, recommends some other great reads, and answers our goofiest flash questions with a smile on her face!
A BIG thanks to Kim for taking the time to chat with us before her book event!

That was a cute interview, I really enjoyed listening to Kimberly’s answers 🙂 Well done!
Wonderful interview with Kimberly! I particularly loved hearing a little bit more about Desires of the Dead! It was also great to hear the story behind the title of The Body Finder, and I look forward to hearing more about the other project she has already submitted to her editor. Thank you sharing this interview! 🙂
Wow, great interview and editing Sara! And your Portland accents are too cute!
We have Portland accents?!?!?!
Great interview. Just won a signed copy of TBF and I’m very excited to read it. 🙂
I’m the same with the Twilight Saga. It’s what got me started really reading YA and other Fantasy adult novels. It got me interested in READING, period. I think it was the summer of 2008 when I finally took my friends’ advice and bought a copy of it. Then when I finished the whole Saga, I didn’t know what else to choose in the bookstore and stuck with the only other publishing of Stephenie Meyer, which was The Host. Now, that is my favorite book of all time and I haven’t met a book to surpass it. It took a couple tries to really understand it but I never gave up. And it only took me exactly two days with no sleep to get through that monster.
