We want to highlight a great new website from Sourcebooks Fire, the publishers behind some budding new Young Adult titles, including Kaleb Nation’s Bran Hambric series.

Teen Fire is a new social network site where readers (and authors) can interact, post videos, discuss books, sharing writing, and more.

Here’s just a few of the site’s great features:

  • YA Lit writing contest
    • Pitch your unpublished Young Adult novel and get your writing noticed by literary agents and the editors at Sourcebooks Fire in this great contest. RSVP to the contest by Jan. 28th to make sure you get all the details about the contest, which runs through the month of February.
  • Become a Teen Book Reviewer!
    • Do you love reading Young Adult books? Want to read new books before they’re published, before anyone else? Want to share your thoughts on new books with their publishers? If you’re ages 13-19, then you can become a Teen Reviewer for Sourcebooks Fire and get to do all of that and more! Applications are due by Jan. 18th, so hurry!
  • Sourcebooks Fire Launch Party
    • Celebrate the launch of Sourcebooks Fire, and mingle with Young Adult authors, at the Sourcebooks Fire Launch Party. It’s happening March 18th at the Books of Wonder store in New York City. Anyone is welcome to attend!
  • Fan Fiction
    • We know a lot of you love Fan Fiction — this is where you can share your Fan Fiction about any Sourcebooks Fire book or characters. And it just might catch the eye of Sourcebooks editors and authors, who will be browsing this page from time-to-time.

You can read more about the features at Teen Fire on, or check out Teen Fire for yourself!

(PS. We might have some cool stuff coming soon from the folks at Sourcebooks Fire … so stay tuned!)
