In The Walls Around Us, the story alternates between two girls — one who is behind bars, and another who is not. That’s the inspiration behind this month’s writing contest!

Write 250-500 words describing a teen penitentiary — from either behind bars, or from the outside looking in. Be creative in how you approach your telling! Be sure to use proper grammar & spelling.
