Guilty pleasure TV show?
I don’t know what it’s called, but at 3am I often catch part of a show where people who have truly horrible tattoos go to this shop and then get new, even bigger tattoos on top of them. Here’s the thing: the new tattoo is almost always an improvement, but it rarely seems like just getting the vampire squid or ex-girlfriend’s name lasered off wouldn’t have been a better option.
Song that will get people dancing at my wedding reception? (And you just wrote a book about a kid with very snooty taste in rock music, so this better be good, Beaudoin!)
The song that is absolutely guaranteed to get everyone shaking tuxedo and shimmying bridesmaid lace is “Cissy Strut” by The Meters. When you bring the bass, it cannot be denied. But you know who else also works surprisingly well? Elvis, The Police, Roxy Music, Bill Withers, Mandrill, and Jackie Wilson.
I also recommend a band called GROWLER.
