Countdown to Dark Eden: Patrick Carman’s Top 5 Fears

Dark Eden by Patrick Carman is all about fear: accepting fears, facing fears. Also, it’s a freaking SCARY book. So as we continue our countdown to the book’s Halloween release, we thought we’d find out what Patrick’s biggest fears are.

Patrick Carman’s Top 5 Fears

1. being along in a house at night – If I’m home alone at midnight and I’m awake, I’m in deep trouble. It’s impossible for me not to imagine someone walking around upstairs.

2. Haunted houses – I’ve literally stood outside of a haunted house hyperventilating. I just get extremely freaked out by what’s going to happen in there. But I usually go in anyway.

3. Scary movies – See TOP FIVE SCARY MOVIES. Everything is possible in the movies, especially bad things.

4. Dying – this one is hard. I mean, I have faith – I believe there’s a God up there who cares. But it’s the ultimate question, right? What happens when we die? No one knows. That sort of freaks me out sometimes.

5. Social situations – No seriously. I’m actually sort of shy. A big room full of popular people I don’t know make me want to go watch TV.

And while we continue the wait for Dark Eden, here’s a look at the official book trailer:
