It should come as no shock that Stephenie Meyer is once again holding the top spot of the best seller list for YA, with the release of The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide. Fans have been anticipating this book for years now, and it’s turned out to be well-worth the wait. The book is chock full of fun details about the series, a great one-on-one between Meyer and BFF/fellow author Shannon Hale, amazing illustrations and lots of other goodies. (And it is HEAVY … because it’s printed on weightier paper, the book itself is also pretty hefty!) Also new this week on the list is The Gathering by Kelley Armstrong, which we reviewed earlier this week (and absolutely loved). Check out the rest of the list for yourself:

Where is City of Fallen Angels????
Once a series has 3 or more books, it is featured on a different list for children’s series … since CoFA is part of the Mortal Instruments series, it falls on that list. It was #1 last week, but is now #3. Here’s a link: http://www.nytimes.com/best-sellers-books/2011-05-01/series-books/list.html
My son is crazy about Rick Riordan’s books and has devoured both of the ones on this list. I read If I Stay, and I’m looking forward to reading Where I Went–it’s on my summer list. I just got my Twilight Guide last week and have only fliped through it so far.
{ FYI-I have an Earth Day book giveaway on my blog at learningtable.blogspot.com }
