Tonight and tomorrow night between the hours of 9-11pm (EST), you will have the opportunity to tweet with some of YA lit’s most successful and talented
writers. All you have to do is use the hashtag #yalitchat and follow @Georgia_McBride. A representative from Novel Novice will be there as well. You can follow her @tiftruitt. But that’s just the start of the goodness. As a participant in the chat, you’ll have the chance to win a variety of super cool prizes. Novel Novice, alongside Mundi Moms and Booklico.us, will be giving away some lit swag.
What will Novel Novice be offering:
A signed copy of Alex VanHelsing by Jason Henderson
A copy of Bamboo People by Mitali Perkins
A copy of Melissa de la Cruz’s Bloody Valentine with goodie bag picture below
ARC of Malinda Lo’s Huntress.
How Can You Win? When you’re done chatting, stop back by Novel Novice and let us know in the comments section your favorite part about the night’s events. At the conclusion of the two-night event, names will be randomly drawn from those who commented. Winners will be announced on Monday. Only US citizens may enter.

I am loving the personal feedback I haven’t had a single question go unanswered
I had to leave early because I had homework, but it was really fun to just tweet authors and have them tweet back! All the authors are super awesome people, and super awesome writers. 🙂 I can’t wait for day 2!
What I didn’t like was the hectic spam. TweetChat was NO help!
I loved getting to talk to awesome authors, and having them talk back! #nerdgasm
That was such an AWESOME event!!!
Can’t wait for TOMORROW!!! LOL.
Thanks for the heads up on this event. It was fun, crazy but fun. I enjoyed reading about revisions and rewrites from the attending authors.
I LOVED Kiersten White dropping Supernaturally teasers! And, ANd Nancy Holder’s all arould awesomeness!
I absolutely adored the interaction with the authors; it really makes you remember that they’re normal people who know the struggles of writing and that life isn’t perfect and that really opens up for a connection 🙂
Helene Boudreau also followed me on Twitter and that made me squee really loudly in the middle of the line to buy HP7 last night 🙂
I like being reminded that these authors are normal people. Fabulous normal people with wicked senses of humor, but still. It makes that whole thousand-mile difference between writing and being a writer seem less daunting. Thanks 🙂

I had a blast both nights. I have been on YAlitchat a lot but not usually the after parties. It was nice chatting in a more intimate forum. I learned about Wither there and now have new contacts on Twitter too. Also, how cool was it that you had an author in Georgia (Russia) and in London and others who came in the middle of their night/pre-dawn just for us! So kind 🙂
