It’s here, it’s here! Mrs. P’s 2nd Annual Be a Famous Writer Contest.
Our very dear friends at Mrs. P’s Magic Library — a great place for younger readers (and their older siblings & parents, too) — launched their children’s writing contest today!
The contest invites kids ages 4-13 to submit a 250 and 1,000 word story on any subject. Entries are being accepted now through October 15th!
One winner will be chosen from two age categories — 4-8 and 9-13.
Each of the grand prize winners (one from each age group) will have their stories read by Mrs. P herself and an artist will create original illustrations to accompany the story. Each winner will receive a bound copy of the illustrated story, as well as having it posted on MrsP.com. (See last year’s winners for more.)
Both grand prize winners and up to eight runners-up will also each recieve a $25 gift certificate to Powell’s.
The judges this year include best-selling author Meg Cabot, Garfield creator Jim Davis and Danny Kallis, producer and creator of Disney Channel’s “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.”
