It’s not officially-official yet (no word from Summit Entertainment), but the ever-reliable Nikki Finke at Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Breaking Dawn will be filmed as two movies, starting this Fall:
I have this from several sources, and it’s definitive. Filming on the back-to-back movies would begin in mid-October, and Summit Entertainment is looking at “high-end” directors.

It is also still a big unknown where exactly the final movie(s) will be filmed. The first Twilight movie was filmed in and around the Portland area in early 2008, but production on The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse moved to Vancouver, B.C. in 2009.
Crews broke down all of the Twilight Saga sets after filming on Eclipse wrapped last fall, and since then, rumors have been swirling that production may come back to Portland for Breaking Dawn.
Fueling those rumors is the fact that Oregon lawmakers recently approved an increase in the state’s film tax incentive program, giving filmmakers another good reason to come back to Portland for Breaking Dawn.
