Catching Fire named Goodreads’ top book of 2009

Goodreads, which many of us use on Facebook, asked readers to vote on their favorite books of 2009, and the totals are in.

And guess what?!

The winner of “favorite book” AND “favorite young adult series” is Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins, beating out heavyweights like The Help as overall fave. Catching Fire is the sequel to The Hunger Games, which came out in 2008. The third book in the series is due out in August. It is currently listed as the most anticipated book of 2010!

Other notable YA books that made the list include:
